Toyota to unveil 2013 Land Cruiser at Chicago auto show

Japanese automaker Toyota Motor (TMC) will unveil the new 2013 Land Cruiser at 2012 Chicago auto show in US.

The full-size, eight-passenger SUV is powered by a 5.7-liter V8 engine offering 381 hp at 5,600 rpm and 401 lb-ft of torque at 3,600 rpm.

Toyota said that the new Land Cruiser runs on regular grade 87 octane gasoline and is ULEV-II certified while sharing its platform with the company's Lexus LX570 SUV.

Japanese automaker's new SUV incorporates new technologies which include five-speed CRAWL control with off-road turn assist, multi-terrain select, multi-terrain anti-lock brakes with electronic brake distribution, trailer sway control, pre-collision system, dynamic radar cruise control, and a retuned suspension.

The company said that the new model is scheduled to go on sale at Toyota dealerships across US this month.
