Fuso unveils 2012 Super Great, Fighter trucks
Commercial vehicle manufacturer Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus (MFTBC) has unveiled the 2012 Super Great model of heavy-duty truck and medium-duty truck, Fighter for Japanese market.
The new models are equipped with new safety technologies including brake override system (BOS) which overrides vehicle acceleration when brake and accelerator pedals are pressed at the same time.
Fuso said that the heavy-duty truck models feature emergency stop signal (ESS) as standard to avoid collision with following vehicles, while the new aerodynamic parts will enhance the overall vehicle fuel efficiency by 5%.
The new models also comply with the JP09 emission regulations (Japan Post New Long-Term Emission Regulations) while meeting the emission standard for NOx and PM emission levels by 10% and meeting the country's 2015 FES standard for heavy-duty vehicles.
