DAF expands portfolio with launch of Euro 6 trucks

Dutch truck manufacturing company DAF Trucks has expanded its Euro 6 series range of vehicles with the launch of four-axle CF and XFrigids along with tractors for special and heavy duty transport applications.

The new trucks include Euro 6 CF series with an 8t steered leading rear axle, a 13t driven rear axle and a 7.5t steered trailing axle for a maximum GVW of 36t.

DAF has also introduced a four-axle truck available for both the CF and XF with 7.5t steered leading rear axle, a 13t driven rear axle and 10t dual-mounted trailing axle with GVW of 35.5t that can be used for shipping and waste container transport sector.

The portfolio also includes the 8x4 tractor Euro 6 XF series truck featuring a double-drive tandem and a steered leading rear axle that can be used for transporting heavy industrial machinery, cranes, construction materials and windmills.

The CF and XF four-axle vehicles are powered by the 12.9L PACCAR MX-13 engine with outputs ranging between 412hp and 375kW 510hp and the new 10.8L PACCAR MX-11 engine offering 435 hp.

CF model is also available with the MX-11 engine delivering an output of 396 hp.

All the trucks are paired to an optional AS Tronic automated gearbox with specially developed gear shifting strategies for regular use over long distances, the transport of liquids, off-road applications and heavy duty use.
